The library carries the Iowa Official Register in the reference collection. You can find information about what issues are available in the library's catalog.

The State of Iowa also provides an online archive containing PDF versions of every issue published.

The red books (as they are often referred to) have a gap in coverage from 2001-2004. This includes the stats for the presidential elections of 2000 and the midterm elections of 2002 as election results are published the year after the election (the 2000 presidential election results will be in the 2001 red book). To find this information, you will need to access the Iowa Secretary of State website at the link below. They do provide data by precincts, city and county.

The red books contain both county and city election results for presidential, U.S.. Congress, U.S.. House of Representatives and state government positions.
