To search the HJF catalog for children award winning books, follow the directions below.

  1. Go to the HJF Catalog, either on the HJF website or here in the advanced search.
  2. Type in the name of the award you are looking to find titles for. Newbery, Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, are popular searches but there are many kinds of awards. See the list below for more award names.
    1. Make sure to spell the award names correctly. For example, Newbery only has one "r" in it.
  3. Select from the limiters/options on the left, to only search results for books. If you have too many results and a lot of ebooks, make sure to select only Print Books.
  4. Note the call number of the book and whether it is available or not or if it has already been checked out. Children's books are on the 1st floor and are publicly accessible. When you find the book, bring it up to the circulation desk across from the café to check it out.
